In Praise and Care of Creation:
​Youth Solutions to Climate Change

Join with other young people of faith from around West Virginia
​this fall to plan local creation care events.

Mini-Grant Program

Mini-grants up to $500 will be offered the West Virginia faith and community groups (groups must include partipants under 18). Each awardee will be required to complete a climate action project as well as provide a short project presentation during a virtual spring event.

Can I register if I am not part of a youth group?
Yes, the mini-grants are for both youth groups as well as intergenerational groups as long as there are participants that are under 18. 

What kind of project does my group need to do?
The sky is the limit. We want you to use your creativity to come up with a great project.


Do we need to do a video as part of our project?
A video or other type of presentation (e..g, audio, slide show) is needed. Anything that can help tell the story of your project.

What type of faith communities are eligible to participate?
We welcome all faiths to participate.






Concluding Roundtable

 A concluding roundtable and video showcase will be held in 2023. This concluding roundtable will feature the perspectives, insights and lessons learned from groups participating in the mini-grant program.
What is the deadline for application for the mini-grants? 
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

When will we know if we are receiving a mini-grant?
Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted and decisions will be made within 2-3 weeks of submission.


When does our project have to be completed?
May 1, 2023

We will showcase all of the videos and presentations during a follow up virtual gathering.
