Kara and Jim also met with mayors, state representatives,
and city council members to share their message
and urge them to buy more fuel-efficient vehicles
for their fleets.
According to Rev. Ball, “One of the interesting
things I learned is that many such officials had
never considered how religious values could be
related to fleet purchases.”
The final act of the tour was meetings with Administration
officials and Congressional offices that Ball
described as “constructive.”
