In September 2025, over 18,000 people of faith submitted comments to the EPA voicing their opposition to the proposal to rescind the Endangerment Finding. The Endangerment Finding is a landmark 2009 ruling which officially established that greenhouse gas emissions contribute to climate change and thus ought to be regulated under the Clean Air Act as pollution which is harmful to human health and the environment.
