Links To OnLine Bibles

There are many websites where one can search English translations of the Bible. Most offer the option of searching by keyword (e.g., creation, land, earth) or passage (e.g., Psalm 19:1-4 – Chapter 19 in the book of Psalms, verses 1 through 4). Some offer topical searches as well.

The Jewish Publication Society's Tanakh Translation (1985) is not available online. An earlier translation by the JPS is online:

Limestone Presbyterian Church

Limestone Presbyterian Church in Wilmington Delaware was blessed with co-pastors Bruce and Carolyn Gillette in 2004. Since then, the church has been leading the area in faith-based environmental work, completing a number of projects dedicated to caring for God’s creation.  The first thing you might notice about the church is the 180 solar panels on the roof. Reverend Bruce Gillette has been environmentally-conscientious before he participated in the first Earth Day in 1970.  Looking for ways to produce cleaner, greener energy,...

A Whole Earth Church

Holladay United Church of Christ Salt Lake City, Utah Just because a congregation is "local," that doesn't mean it can't have a global vision or a global reach. With less than 400 members, Holladay United Church of Christ (HUCC) sent six members -- the largest delegation from any one congregation in the U.S. -- to the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992. In June 1993, the church helped to plan, host and provide...
