Students and Youth

Many congregations, schools, and colleges have programs for their students and youth members to learn about and take action on environmental problems. You can take the initiative to introduce or expand the environmental emphasis where you are.

  • See the pages of this website on education in congregations and educational institutions for examples, program ideas, and resources that you can suggest to your teachers or youth leaders and offer to help organize and lead them.
  • Selling Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFL’s) can help youth groups in synagogues or churches and students in religious schools can raise money while helping the environment. Find out about the Youth CFL Project.
  • If you are a college or university student, check the educational institutions page of this website for:

    • Study Programs
    • Sample Syllabi
